Rage bassist beaten by his wife, takes out restraining order

Although it’s probably underreported, men can also be the battered spouse in a relationship.

Tim Commerford, bass player for Rage Against the Machine, Prophets of Rage, and Audioslave has taken out a restraining order on his wife, Aleece after he was allegedly attacked at the home of a friend.

According to documents obtained by , Aleece filed for divorce and claims that she left him last Tuesday. Tim left the family home and was crashing at a friend’s house. Then, he says, Aleece showed up.

The story is that she somehow got behind the wheel of someone’s Porsche and then rammed the garage door of the house in order to get inside.

When she ran into Tim, she “screamed” at him and then “viciously assaulted” with her iPhone and fists, causing some pretty serious injuries to his face. Then Aleece went after the owner of the house.

The restraining order is now in effect. She must stay 100 yards away from Tim and his band(s) are playing or rehearsing.

A court appearance is scheduled for January. Here’s the picture posted by The Blast. Get the whole story .
