Want to buy some of Dave Grohl’s gear and help some kids at the same time? Here’s how.

Earlier this year, Dave Grohl released a 23-minute solo performance called “Play.” As a reminder, here’s the video.

Now some of the gear we see in the video is being sold off. The money will go towards a very cool music education initiative.

Dave says: “When I take my kids to their music lessons, I see these rooms full of children that are really pushing themselves to figure this out. I’m inspired by watching that process.  Even now, as a 49-year-old man, I’m still trying to figure it out. It’s not something that you ever truly master. You’re always chasing the next challenge, and you’re always trying to find a way to improve what you’ve learned.”

Bidding starts October 9.  Equipment has been donated by DW Drums, Fender, Gibson Gretsch, Ludwig, Made By Maple, and Zildjian and all are signed by Dave.
