What Will Come After Smartphones? Could It be Hearables?

I may still feel very self-conscious using voice commands on my mobile and other devices, but all the research I’ve read recently says that people are doing this Let`s see and Let`s see. Siri, Hey Google, Alexa–the tech is already here and people are apparently loving it.

This move towards voice commands could ultimately doom the mobile phone. Hearables–smart devices that you stick in your ears–are purported by some to be all you really need. Just speak a command and these things will take care of whatever you need.

Your smartphone is a lifeline to the world. It brings you instant information and connects you with loved ones. It can help you find a menu, order food, navigate your way to the restaurant, pay for the meal, and get an Uber home.

But what if you could do all of that with just your voice and a few nods of your head?

Brands like Sony, Samsung, Moto, and Oakley are aiming to in 2017 in the growing field of “hearables,” or wearables for your ears. But don’t confuse these devices with Apple’s new Airpods.

“The hearable market is not about having wireless headphones,” says Nikolaj Hviid, CEO of Bragi, a hearables brand in Germany. “It’s about having computer enhancements in your ear.”

Great. More people walking around talking to themselves.  then watch the video below.
